Disciples of the=20 prophet.......

LAGOS, NIGERIA =97 It was Thursday afternoon and the disciples = were all in=20 one room while the Pastor-prophet of the church, T.B. Joshua, taught = them on=20 what it means to go to the next level. Many of the students in the room = are on=20 the next level, away from what they are familiar with and in a place of = deep=20 learning. The Synagogue Church of All Nations has a group of = young people=20 that have come from all over the globe. Many of them came as visitors to = the=20 church, were moved by what they saw, and felt the Lord wanted them to=20 stay.
These students are the = future=20 ministers of the vision of Prophet T.B. Joshua. They are in the middle = of a move=20 of G
od that requires all that = they have to=20 follow in the footsteps of the leader. One young lady who left her = family back=20 in the country of South Africa says that her commitment was to the = virtue of=20 ministry. That virtue stresses service to others. While the future = ministers of=20 this church are in training, they are learning about the two major parts = of=20 ministry as taught to them by Pastor Joshua. These must be learned and = followed=20 in order to please God. The first element of true ministry comes from = service,=20 partnered closely with humility.

=20 David, a young man from England, preached and prayed for people in the = afternoon=20 service. This young man is on fire with a desire to please God. "We are = here to=20 serve God and hear His Voice. We are in obedience to what God wants us = to do."=20 David is an assistant pastor in the church. He said that his greatest = joy is to=20 watch the supernatural virtue of God heal the people who come to the = services.=20 When The Remnant asked him, "Do you feel like you are being = prepared for=20 the time when you will leave the church?" David said, "Whatever God = wants me to=20 do, when the time comes for me to leave I will hear God=92s voice." = David works=20 hard in the ministry of the church. Many of the students work at the = tables=20 interviewing the people coming for a healing. On Sunday, the students = were up=20 early helping organize and interview the sick. Every means of ministry = is used=20 early in the morning, including television interviews of the HIV and = AIDS=20 patients. Everyone has a job and everyone learns to serve within the = church.=20 Angela, 24, spoke to The Remnant about how she made her decision to join = the=20 work at Synagogue Church. "I came from California with a group from our = church.=20 As I witnessed what was going on here, God spoke to my heart to stay and = join=20 the work. I feel like we have something here that the Church in the = United=20 States needs. At the Synagogue Church, there is a deeper commitment to = reach=20 people with the gospel. There is a message here that the church in = America needs=20 to hear. At first it was hard for my mother and father to accept that I = was=20 coming to Africa to work in this church, but now they feel good about = the idea.=20 They have been here and know that the church is a great place for me to=20 learn."
The countries = represented here=20 are many, including France, the United States, Ghana, South Africa, the = United=20 Kingdom, Nigeria, and Greece. One of the most important things the = students=20 learn in the ministry at the church is the power of the testimony. = Students are=20 involved in documenting the people when they come to be healed and they = also see=20 what happens as a result of prayer during the services at the=20 church.
As the visitors = show up=20 from around the world for special prayer, each person=92s age, country, = name and=20 address, and the type of illness are documented. This is done to verify = what God=20 is doing at the Synagogue Church. It=92s not enough to just say that God = did=20 something, but when it is documented by videotape and recorded in = written=20 testimony with accurate medical records, it helps people to grasp the = reality of=20 our Living God that can heal. Right now in this area of Africa, and for = that=20 matter - the rest of the continent, there is a battle going on over = spiritual=20 belief. The number of Islamic believers is growing throughout the = infrastructure=20 of Africa. But now, in areas where they burned and killed Christians and = left=20 them for dead in the streets just a few short years ago, there are = branches of=20 the Synagogue Church! Many of the associate pastors of the Synagogue = Church have=20 been sent to these areas to minister the same healing power of God. The = one=20 thing that will win the war of belief in these stronghold areas of Islam = is the=20 manifest power of God. Indeed, the God of signs and wonders is touching = the=20 Islamic people even now in the northern regions of Nigeria. Recent = campaigns of=20 evangelism have proven to be a great resource for the country of = Nigeria.=20 Phenomenal healings occur during the Reinhard Bonnke campaigns, where = more than=20 one million attend, but the country has to have churches to handle and = refine=20 the harvest. All over the country of Nigeria, Synagogue Church = satellites are=20 growing in size and number because of the belief in the supernatural = power of=20 God to heal.
The = Islamic=20 faith offers nothing to poor Nigerian countryman but Jihad. Because of = this,=20 many of the Islamic faith are showing up for prayer at the Synagogue = Churches =96=20 and being touched by the power of God! Our supernatural God is making = His way=20 known among the native tribesmen of this country and the results are = fantastic,=20 as the satellite churches are experiencing phenomenal growth. = Missionaries have=20 come from all over the world to preach the gospel to the people of = Nigeria, but=20 now the native missionaries that are coming from the Synagogue Church in = Lagos=20 are making a lasting difference in the country. To God be the=20 glory.
